WF1 Controller — How It Works
The Huidu WF1 creates its own WiFi access point. Connect from any iPhone or Android using the free LEDArt app to:
- Switch between pre-loaded face expressions
- Adjust colors and brightness
- Upload custom 64×32 pixel art faces
- Control animation speed and style
No coding required. Face library and pixel art editor available at ProtoFrenz Controller User Manual →. A Recovery USB drive with manual and backup files is included.
Note: The WF1 does not include a boop sensor, talking mouth, or cooling fan. For those features, see the Studio tier with the ProtoFrenz 3.0 controller.
Compatible Heads
MK3, MK5, and Cipher (Squared). The HUB75/P3 panels require a 192×96mm display bay — not compatible with MK2, Iris, Nyx, or ZillionRoss head bases.
Power
Requires a MicroUSB power bank (5V, 3–4A recommended). A compatible 10,000mAh MicroUSB power bank is available separately in our accessories section.

If you're pairing this kit with a head base to build a complete protogen head, a Studio build is worth a look first. Studio heads arrive fully assembled and tested, include a power bank, and come with a 90-day electronics warranty — often at a similar or lower total cost than purchasing and assembling parts separately.

Print was messy but nothing that can't be fixed with a bit of sand paper. I already needed to sand it to paint it so it's no big deal. Other than that, it's works and I love it! <3
