Welcome to ProtoFrenz. By using this website and placing an order, you agree to these Terms. Please read them alongside our Shipping, Refund, Cancellation, Privacy, and Warranty policies, which are part of these Terms.

1. Who we are

ProtoFrenz LLC is a family-owned maker of protogen fursuit heads and related electronics, based in Portland, Oregon, USA. Contact: support@protofrenz.com.

2. Our products are made to order

Most items — heads, visors, configured builds, and anything personalized — are built to order by hand. As a result:

  • Small variations in color, finish, and print texture are normal and are not defects.
  • Colors on your screen may differ slightly from the finished product.
  • Build times are estimates (typically ~3 weeks); see our Shipping policy.

3. Orders, pricing, and acceptance

  • All prices are in USD unless stated otherwise and may change at any time before an order is placed.
  • Placing an order is an offer to buy; we may accept or decline any order, and we may cancel and refund an order if an item was mispriced, unavailable, or the order appears fraudulent.
  • You are responsible for providing accurate order and shipping information.

4. Customer-supplied artwork and personalization

If you upload or provide artwork (for example, custom cheek art) or request personalization, you represent and warrant that:

  • You own the artwork or have all rights and permissions needed to use it, and
  • The artwork does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, or other rights, and is not unlawful, hateful, or obscene.

You grant ProtoFrenz a license to reproduce and apply your artwork solely to produce your order. We may decline to produce artwork we reasonably believe infringes rights or violates these Terms, and you agree to indemnify ProtoFrenz against claims arising from artwork you supplied.

5. Returns, cancellations, and warranty

Because items are made to order, returns and cancellations are limited — please read our Refund/Returns and Cancellation policies before ordering. Every build carries our 90-day warranty on the whole product; see the Warranty policy and the service-request process.

6. Intellectual property

The ProtoFrenz name, logo, product designs, 3D models, configurator, firmware, artwork, and site content are owned by ProtoFrenz and may not be copied, resold, reverse-engineered, or used to manufacture competing products without written permission. Buying a product does not transfer these rights.

7. Safety and proper use

ProtoFrenz heads are wearable costume pieces, not safety equipment. By purchasing you acknowledge:

  • Vision is limited while wearing a fursuit head. Do not drive, operate machinery, or move through hazards while wearing one, and use a spotter/handler in crowds.
  • The electronics generate heat and are powered by a USB battery; follow the included guidance, don't block vents, and stop use if anything overheats or malfunctions.
  • Supervise minors, and use good judgment around heat, water, and crowds.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ProtoFrenz is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the item. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable consumer law.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing here removes mandatory consumer protections you have in your country of residence.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in effect when you order applies to that order.
