WF1 Controller — How It Works
The Huidu WF1 creates its own WiFi access point. Connect from any iPhone or Android using the free LEDArt app to:
- Switch between pre-loaded face expressions
- Adjust colors and brightness
- Upload custom 64×32 pixel art faces
- Control animation speed and style
Make it yours: design custom faces and complete animated face programs free at facemaker.protofrenz.com — download to the included USB stick and plug it in. No app or software needed. Prefer the app? The free LEDArt app still controls everything over WiFi.
No coding required. For face inspiration and help troubleshooting, visit protofrenz.com/faces. To design and export your own pixel art faces, use the LED Display Face Maker. A Recovery USB drive with manual and backup files is included.
Note: The WF1 does not include a boop sensor or talking mouth. For those features, see the Studio tier with the ProtoFrenz 3.0 controller.

Power Bank
Not included — the WF1 uses a MicroUSB power bank (5V). A compatible 10,000mAh MicroUSB power bank is available as a separate add-on in our accessories section.
Upgrade Path
The MK5 head base is compatible with LED Matrix and Full-Color Panel electronics too. If you decide you want boop sensor, talking mouth, and WiFi browser control without an app, your head base carries right into a Studio MK5 build — no new shell needed.
